Patricia Parinejad (German-iranian)
The life of Patricia Parinejad is a real treasure of different images and unique experiences, which have all taken her right to the art of photography.
The source of all this, her roots; a German mother and an Iranian father, she grew up in Tehran just until 1979 the date when she moved to Germany.
She studied for several years Human Science, showing here her desire to always achieve more. After this, she spent her time traveling, until finally deciding to ‘hang up’ her bags in the United States.
Thanks to her eclectic taste between beauty and architecture, she became artistic director for different photographers and the producer of various Tashen publications such as ‘Miami Interiors’ or ‘Berlin Interiors’.
Very quickly she decided to make the move behind the lens, her talent was very quickly recognized by her clients, such as Air France, Cartier International, Armani Casa, Pierre Cardin and Moschino. Her work, has been regularly featured in the international press.
Patricia is not simply an exceptional professional in the world of design, she is above all an original and sensitive artist.
We had the real honor of meeting her in the exceptional ambiance of the Rencontre d’Arles festival (France), where in 2006 she was given a prestigious prize for her series called EYES, a remarkable work focusing on the world of children. Patricia Parinejad isolates here the eyes of children whom she has crossed during her travels. The faces appear invisible, only the eyes appear in these big format photographs.
In front of these captivating photographs, on display this summer in the Baudoin Lebon gallery in the heart of Paris, the artist spoke to us about her love of children from all over the world and her desire to pay homage to them all. EYES is a window into the inside, showing the way that adults look at children.
Patricia Parinejad loves to talk about her meetings and her way of photographing, her way of showing her soul through her photographs. She is always open to new experiences, to new voyages, like Tokyo, which she loved and to her new projects.
She is also proud to announce her participation in the contemporary art exhibition « MIROIR, MON BEAU MIROIR » at the GUERLAIN building, between October and November 2007, for this private showing organized by the FIAC and the Comité Colbert.
FineArtTv has looked right into the eyes of Patricia Parinejad and discovered her spirit, now its your turn to join in our meeting.
